Queer Activism and Intersectionality: Histories in Action In-Person

Intersectional perspectives play a critical role in mobilising queer activism to effect social change and drive action. But what makes activism meaningful? How do we organise and sustain communities and political movements? And what responsibilities do contemporary activists have to carry out the legacies of our queer and trans ancestors, both globally and in Aotearoa New Zealand?

This event will be held in the Hunter Common Room. Light refreshments to follow, speakers and chair TBC.

This event is part of Queer History Month Aotearoa Pūmahara Ia Te Wā and requires registration. For more information, please contact rainbowresearch@vuw.ac.nz
